Our History
Wrattenbullie has been Davies family country since the mid-1900s, when Neil and Eileen Davies made the move from Western Victoria to South Australia and put down roots in the Wrattonbully district.
Their son Rod grew up with a deep passion for the land and an eye for exceptional livestock.
That passion gave birth to Wrattenbullie Studs — a commitment to producing seed-stock of the highest order that Rod carried throughout his life, showing sheep and cattle across Australia and building lasting friendships along the way.
Rod and wife Gayle raised triplets, Angela, Sally and Brad at Wrattenbullie.
In the early 2000s, Brad returned to the farm to work alongside his father, and together they spent their days striving for the best from every animal they bred.
Rod passed away in 2023, leaving behind a legacy measured not just in ribbons and records, but in the standard he set and the people he influenced along the way.
Brad and wife Alana took on the stewardship of Wrattenbullie — carrying forward everything Rod built, with the next chapter firmly in their hands.
